North Carolina pride march is condemned after small boy was given POLE-DANCING lesson

A North Carolina pride festival is being condemned online after a video emerged showing a small boy pole dancing with a scantily-clad woman. 

The video, posted online by the Libs of Tik Tok Twitter account Thursday, shows a young boy in a baseball hat twirling around a pole straddling a woman wearing a strappy thong and a bikini top while grown woman looked on.

It then cuts to another woman twerking in the middle of the street with dollar bills hanging out her thong as a third woman slaps her butt cheeks.

Other videos from the Charlotte Pride festival showed children in the crowd watching and cheering on some of the floats passing by, one of which featured a girl in a rainbow bikini pole dancing.

And another clip showed a dancer on one of the parade floats who also had dollar bills sticking out of her lingerie twerking for the crowd while another woman pretended to lick her leg.

The weekend event was marketed as being family friendly, with its website advertising a newly expanded Youth and Family Zone ‘with new games, activities and opportunities for all families, including all children and youth under the age of 20.’

One of those activities, according to the Libs of Tik Tok account, was letting children try out pole dancing. 

But online, some Twitter users called out the event — as well as the parents of the young boy who was filmed twirling around the pole.

One man, Jason Howerton, a CEO based in Texas said: ‘If you care more about signaling your wokeness than what is best for your kid, you truly are a piece of s***.’

Meanwhile, former Texas State Rep. Matt Rinaldi seemed to suggest that those involved with the event should go ‘straight to jail.’ 

The Charlotte Pride festival returned for the first time in person over the weekend since the COVID pandemic shut down its festivities for two years.

There were more than 40 floats and 10,000 people marching in the parade Sunday, with thousands more seen cheering them on. 

Festival organizers later announced they had broken their attendance record at this year’s event, with 275,000 people showing up for the parade and festival.

The previous record of 200,000 was last set at the parade in 2019, but this year, FOX 46 reports, more people came out to show their pride.

‘I think it’s definitely a key moment in history right now, and I think that it’s imperative for everybody to show that this is how people live and that it’s OK to be who you are,” George Meeks told the station.

Jeremy Hale, who came all the way from Sydney, Australia for the event also told WBTV: ‘You can clearly tell that Charlotte’s got a strong sense of local community which is amazing, and it really felt like everyone’s out for each other and celebrating everyone.’

The controversy over the parade comes as some ask whether pride-parades are the family-friendly events they’re usually billed as.

Critics highlight the presence of sex-themed acts and fetishists – many of them scantily-clad – as evidence that the shows are not suitable for children.

Meanwhile, controversy over children attending drag brunches and drag queen story hours rage on.

Clips have shown youngsters watching and even giving money to scantily-clad cross-dressing performers, while story hours have been picketed.
