A “young” girl was killed after being struck by a tractor Monday morning in Woolwich Township, in the northeast part of Waterloo Region.
The fatal collision happened at 10:20 a.m. on a property in the area of Sandy Hills Dr. and Arthur St. N., Waterloo Regional Police say.

Police say the driver of a tractor was reversing and struck the girl, who was taken to hospital where she died.
The 41-year-old male driver of the tractor was uninjured. His relationship to the girl and her age were not released.
The investigation is ongoing.
