Clip of Moozlie twerking slammed


South African social media users appear to be growing tired of the “sex sells” culture which is growing bigger and bigger in the country. Just days ago many discussed their outrage at a disturbing clip of exotic dancer Zodwa Wabantu. And now a video of 31-year-old rapper Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena twerking has sparked fresh outrage.

Many in the comments section of the video which was shared on X shared how more and more women are feeling the need to expose themselves in the name of being sexy.

Moozlie’s twerking disappoints Mzansi

When it comes to the entertainment industry, it is no secret that many stars rely on their physical appearances to gain fans and supporters.

While it has been happening for many years now around the world, South Africans don’t appear to be happy with it.

Last week, calls for Zodwa Wabantu to be cancelled grew loud as many discussed the negative impression she has on younger generations.

And now locals are calling rapper Moozlie out for her on-stage shenanigans. In a video which has been viewed hundreds of times, the rapper can be seen twerking for a crowd.

The video was taken at Max’s Lifestyle Lounge in Umlazi where she had her first gig for 2024.

SA weighs in

In the comment section, peeps discussed whether or not twerking should be as normalised as it is.

While some slammed her for doing the provocative dance, others shared that she should be able to do whatever she pleases without facing online judgement.

“This “Sex sells culture” is destroying our youth’s minds bro,” one person said while another wrote:

“Beyonce is still twerking for money in her 40s, welcome to the entertainment industry.”
