RHOP: Wendy Osefo Reacts to Hot Mic Moment Involving Mia

Dr. Wendy Osefo isn’t afraid to laugh at her mistakes.

Unbeknownst to her, on Sunday’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Wendy was still mic’d when she said her fellow cast member Mia Thornton was “lying” about her health issues.

The surprising moment came after a producer asked Wendy how her friendship with Mia was doing. “OK,” Wendy responded, explaining that aside from Karen Huger, she’s “probably the only one that’s trying to give her a chance.”

“But she’s lying, so who cares?” Wendy added. “We all know she’s lying.”

For context, prior to the hot mic moment, Wendy and her fellow RHOP cast members had been discussing Mia’s Instagram post that alluded to a health scare. Robyn Dixon was among those to express her confusion on the matter, but in the moment, she was adamant that she had never called Mia a liar. 

That’s where Wendy disagreed. “You called her a liar,” Wendy said. “I never ha ve called her a liar. Stand in your truth.”

Wendy remained on social media while all this played out, but she didn’t ignore her caught-on-tape remarks. Instead, she tweeted, “When you get caught on a hot mic,” adding the woozy, melting, and crying-laughing emojis and the hashtag “fake saint” alongside a meme that read “oops…”

Oops, indeed!
