Jenelle ‘Indiefoxx’ Dagres, a streamer who gained a lot of social media attention for her controversial behaviour on Twitch, has now stated the reason why the Twitch team chose to permanently ban her from the platform.
When the hot tub and ASMR meta hit Twitch, Dagres accrued a huge number of followers and traction for gamifying her subscription goals. Usually, streamers are subject to a three-strike system for flouting the terms of service, however, Dagres got six bans, starting in January 28, February 1, February 23, April 7, June 19, and June 29, 2021. Obviously, the sixth was the final straw as she was ushered out of Twitch and shifted to YouTube.

This week, in an interview on the No Jumper podcast with Adam22, she has now been able to share why she was permanently banned and why she believes it was unjust. While hosting one of her ASMR streams last year, she was wearing yoga leggings that left little to the imagination. To avoid this, she stuffed toilet paper into her leggings, but the seam of the leggings then moved the toilet paper out of place.
“I put toilet paper down there, but because of the seam, it moved the toilet paper to the side, so it looked like I had a [penis] because I tried to cover it up,” she laughed. “If I was an employee of a company and they fired me because of my outfit, that would be an HR situation.” She continued to say that a similar situation happened to female streamer who had also faced six bans, however, she was not permanently banned for this wardrobe malfunction.
Dagres said that she has tried to contact Twitch through its official channels but gets “ghosted” by the staff who say they’ll look into the appeal. It’s unlikely that Twitch will change its stance, yet Dagres is still able to promote her content on YouTube and other platforms without issue.
